Greetings, foodies – it’s been a while since I sent out anything for the Gourmands, so I’m especially happy to announce that we have now scheduled a dinner in Perry for the Spring Convention. And I do mean in Perry – we finally have a good restaurant that can accommodate our group actually within the town limits! Since our last visit to Perry, Orleans on Carroll, an upscale New-Orleans-themed restaurant on, of all places, Carroll Street, has opened its doors. Here’s a link to their website: https://orleansoncarroll.com/ . As you can see, they feature a variety of Cajun and Creole dishes, plus more standard fare if you aren’t adventurous. We’ll have a room to ourselves, with small table seating, separate checks, and the ability to order from the full menu. They only ask that we don’t expect everyone to be served at the same time.
Here are the details on the dinner:
When: Monday, March 10 – Social hour at 5:00, dinner at 6:00. (Or thereabouts.)
What: Order from the full menu, and you won’t have to pre-order – you can decide when you get there. We will have a private room (upstairs). The menu is available on their website.
Barbara and I will be your hosts (I couldn’t find anyone else to do it this time J) so if you want to attend, please just let me know by replying to this email. Please RSVP as soon as you can – we really need to give the restaurant a hard number as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you there.
